The First Thanksgiving

"The First Thanksgiving" was created with the 400th anniversary of the inaugural New World celebration of Thanksgiving in mind, which took place in Charles City County, Virginia. A similar conceptual preparation to "The Surrender" was set into motion, promoting the free association of pop culture icons and populating an absurdist scene of Pringles and Happy Meals while making an underlying statement on colonialism. The painting includes several species of indigenous local fauna now considered extinct.

The artwork is printed on 100% archival museum-quality paper. All prints are signed and numbered by the artist and are part of a limited edition. They are professionally packaged in high-quality, sturdy shipping tubes with worldwide shipping included in the price.
